The hotel provides an excellent base for visiting the most well known attractions in this area: the Greek temple and amphitheatre of Segesta, the enchanting setting of Scopello with its tuna fishery and picturesque needles, the ‘Zingaro’ nature reserve and its spectacular coastline (15 minutes drive). Palermo, Monreale, the medieval hill top town of Erice and the Greek ruins of Selinunte can easily be reached in around 30 minutes drive.

A small town that embraces all the beauties of Sicily
Set in a beautiful bay, at the foot of a high, rugged mountain rich in luxuriant vegetation, the town slopes gently down towards the sea. During the Middle Ages Castellammare developed around the castle surrounded by sea, and this older part is still in tact today.
Originally a drawbridge would have linked the castle to the town. The historic British attack at the port, foiled, according to the legend, by “Madonna di l’assicursu” (Madonna of relief), is celebrated with an historical event every two years.
